Exploring the Scientific Process
A treasure map, we like to call 'The Scientific Process' is a systematic approach to guide our Remarkable Rhinos in understanding the world around them. Observations, experimentations, analysis, and conclusions are along the trail to broaden our knowledge of various phenomena. For beginners, learning about the scientific process may seem daunting, so we began by sharing our initial thoughts about what we think scientists are and do.

After tweaking a thing or two the Grade 4s were ready and excited to present their new knowledge and findings with the rest of their crew.

Put On Your Scientist Spectacles - The Polar Caps are Melting
It was time to start with our first experiment and use the scientific process to guide the way. The Grade 4s made a connection between testing whether ice cubes will melt at different rates if we make changes to them, much like our Polar ice caps that are impacted because of changes in the environment. Their excitement boiled over each time they observed their predictions coming true as the ice cubes melted, number 1 and then 2.

In Mathematics, we had our friends sharing their new tips and tricks with each other, which they learned at home for handling fractions. This is what student agency is all about, great job!

Sankt Nikolaus Concert
Finishing off we have Sankt Nikolaus! A mikan for me and a mikan for you.
