U4 A Special Guest and Journal Entries

Mr Andrei Ivanovich Moiseenko
This week we had a very special guest come and visit our school to share his story from WWII.

Mr Andrei Ivanovich Moiseenko is one of the last survivors of the Buchenwald concentration camp and forced labor at the HASAG company in Leipzig. Born in Ukraine in 1926, at the age of 15 he was deported to Leipzig for forced labor - to HASAG, the largest arms factory in Saxony.
Our Grade 4s listened carefully and had meaningful questions and conversations with Mr Moiseenko who was happy to answer.

Who We Are
We wrote a journal entry to reflect on our own beliefs and what religion means to us as individuals. The Grade 4s had many questions, so they took them home to their families to discuss what it means to them as individuals and as a family.

During Mathematics, we explored counting and sequences. We also had an exciting time delving into the various methods of representing data! These Remarkable Rhinos quickly realised that not every diagram, table, graph, or chart is suitable for every type of data we wish to capture. Through our exploration, they discovered how each form of representation is uniquely designed to meet specific needs.

WELCOME!
We are SUPER excited to have a new friend join our class, welcome to the Remarkable Rhinos of Grade 4!

Have a wonderful weekend!
